The nutrition cluster's information management ensures that the nutrition cluster/sector has the necessary information, data, and systems to support the delivery of a timely, high-quality, and appropriate nutrition response, effectively connecting all stages of the Humanitarian Programme Cycle. This information needs to be collected, analysed, shared, used, and ultimately archived. The nutrition cluster's information management serves to inform decision-making and analysis processes for all partners, helping to prevent gaps and duplication in the response.
The Information Management Officer (IMO) plays a pivotal role by providing support to the cluster. This includes collecting relevant data, handling, storing, and managing information sensitively, supporting response monitoring, and disseminating information. The IMO contributes to the overall information management within the OCHA led Inter-Cluster Information Management Working Group. Additionally, the IMO oversees the cluster's contact list, shared drive, and website.
