A revised version of guidance for the implementation of nutrition assessments in Northern Ethiopia was presented to the Ethiopia Taskforce who is currently reviewing the guidance and providing ongoing support and feedback to the country team to ensure technical quality and relevance. Additional technical gaps identified in the quarter included guidance to assess nutrition programme data quality as well as guidance for the collection of qualitative nutrition/ nutrition related data for rapid assessments. The GTWG is also exploring the potential development of standardized technical guidance for assessing IYCF practices in humanitarian contexts together with the IFE Core Group. Additional work in the quarter within the GTWG included work on an NIS in emergencies strengthening exercise exploring how NIS can be strengthened to better inform programming as well as a risk monitoring framework for Yemen which is currently being piloted.
